Mathify is an AI-powered WYSIWYG mathematical and equation editor designed to facilitate the creation, recognition, and manipulation of complex mathematical formulas. Its features include OCR scanning of intricate formulas via camera (Pro version only) and handwriting recognition powered by AI (Pro version only). Users can construct sophisticated math expressions and easily copy images into the clipboard for pasting into applications such as Google Docs or Microsoft Word. Compatibility improvements are ongoing for newer Android devices and API versions.

The software also allows copying LaTeX code directly to the clipboard and sharing generated images in formats like .jpg or .png. Additionally, it integrates computational capabilities through WolframAlpha for result calculations and employs AI algorithms to enable search functionalities using LaTeX syntax or descriptive mathematical terminology on the user's device.

While Mathify is a paid application, it offers a limited free trial. The free version permits users to input up to 20 symbols per session and perform no more than two operations daily per feature, such as “Copy image to clipboard”. Exceeding these limits prompts notifications informing the user about the restriction.

For optimal use, users should include Greek symbols via their device's native keyboard. To select formulas or text, a long press is required. Zoom functionality can be activated through pinch gestures by tapping with two fingers; deactivation requires a single tap with one finger. Power, superscript, and subscript notations are created using ‘^’ for superscripts and ‘_’ for subscripts.

When working with big operators such as integrals, sums, or products, users can specify limits by selecting the desired type of limit display and adding limits through ‘_’ for lower limits and ‘^’ for upper limits. It is recommended to use Mathify primarily for short mathematical formulas which can then be copied into text editors like MS Word or Google Docs.
